Although ticket prices seem to be getting higher and higher each year, Cineplex is offering $3.99 movies this October! This is your chance to have that true Cineplex experience at an affordable price.

All of this is done through Cineplex’s Family Favourites program. These films are meant for everybody, and are especially good for families. The showings are occasionally swapped out for different ones and are also dependent on which location you go to, but these are the four listed on the Cineplex website for October.

CINEPLEX’S FAMILY FAVOURITE MOVIES

Trolls

The blockbuster animated film Trolls is definitely a favourite amongst many families. The movie follows the Trolls, who are small and perpetually happy creatures that love to sing– but everything changes when the Bergens, miserable creatures who can only become happy once they consume a Troll, discover the Trolls’ secret home.

A Minecraft Movie

A Minecraft Movie made its debut this year, causing waves worldwide. Placed in the eponymous video game world of Minecraft, four misfits are pulled into a portal and must survive the cubic dimension with the help of “expert crafter” Steve, played by Jack Black.

Trolls Band Together

Trolls Band Together is the third installment of the Trolls movies. Series protagonist Poppy discovers that her friend Branch was one of three brothers that once formed her favourite boy band. When one of these siblings gets kidnapped, Poppy and Branch set out to rescue and reunite the brothers.

Corpse Bride

The Tim Burton classic Corpse Bride follows Victor van Dort, a young man who is nervously preparing for his arranged marriage. On a fateful night, Victor is practicing his lines for the wedding when he is transported to the land of the dead, finding a murdered woman who now wants to marry Victor.

The movies cost $3.99 for CineClub members with their booking fee waived. Prices are $4.99 for Scene+ members ($3.99 + $1.00 online booking fee), and cost $5.49 for all other customers ($3.99 + $1.50 online booking fee), plus tax. Programming is available on select Saturdays at participating locations.
