Cineplex $5 Movies on Tuesdays (Feb 4 & 11)
From January 14 – February 11, Cineplex is offering $5 movie tickets and $5 popcorn every Tuesday. The $5 popcorn deal is limited-time, while discounted ticket prices will continue every Tuesday year-round. Note: Popcorn toppings are extra, and online ticket purchases include a booking fee of up to $1.50.
Cineplex also offers children’s movie at 11 o’clock on Saturday mornings for only $3.99 +tax. Note however that it is only at participating theatres, and available films details may vary on locations. You can check out their website for the most up-to-date details.

Art Gallery Free Entry (Feb 7) FREE
The Vancouver Art Gallery is free on the first Friday of every month. Attendees can enter between 4 and 8 pm. They will be offering educational tours and other programming free of charge. It’s also worth mentioning that children and teens aged 18 and under can visit the art gallery for free at any time, thanks to a program launched last summer that runs for five years.

Invictus Games (Feb 8 – 16)
The Invictus Games 2025 will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, Canada, from February 8–16, bringing togethe injured, and sick service members and Veterans from around the world. The event will feature adaptive winter sports for the first time, such as alpine skiing and wheelchair curling, alongside traditional competitions like sitting volleyball and archery. This edition aims to celebrate resilience, camaraderie, and the healing power of sport.
The opening ceremony will take at BC Place on February 8 fetauring Katy Perry, Noah Kahan, Nelly Furtado and more. And their closing ceremony will take place at Rogers Arena on February 16 featuring Jelly Roll, Barenaked Ladies, and The War And Treaty.

Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival (Ending Feb 14)
Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated annual winter festivals is the Hot Chocolate Festival in Vancouver. Every year, coffee shops, bakeries and chocolatiers get creative with their cups of cocoa. It is a perfect way to warm up in winter and get into a “sweet” frame of mind before Valentine’s Day.
This year will be the 15th run of the festival. There are 81 businesses will be participating at 124 locations, with a total of 180 different flavours!

Lafarge Lightes Ending (Feb 17) FREE
Coquitlam’s largest holiday light display is one of the best light events in Metro Vancouver. Stunning the area of Town Centre Park, this huge and beautiful display will light up the 1.2km stroll around the lake.
The lights are on every day from 4 to 10 p.m. For the best viewing experience, plan your visit on weekdays or during less busy times (before 6 p.m. or after 8 p.m.).

Support Indigenous Youth at UNYA’s Annual Eat, Shop, Hang Event (Ending Feb 19)
Urban Native Youth Association’s (UNYA) Eat, Shop, Hang event is a thrifting extravaganza for Indigenous Youth, and your support is essential to make it a success.
They’re seeking donations of gently used clothing, shoes, purses, bags, belts, hats, wallets, socks, hygiene products, and make-up.

Sleep Out Vancouver (Feb 20) FREE
Sleep Out is a special event where individuals and teams give up their beds and sleep outside for one night to raise funds for Covenant House Vancouver — so that vulnerable youth can sleep safely.
This event advocates for the future of young people experiencing homelessness. Funds raised will be directed towards our mental health services.
