Public Disco 2025 Summer Block Parties

They are bringing four massive outdoor events to the city from June to September. Whether you’re looking for your first outdoor rave or your fiftieth, these day and early nighttime parties are where the city’s music heads, art lovers, and community movers meet.

Presented by 2 Hoots Hard Iced Tea, this year’s Public Disco Summer Block Party series includes two free, all-ages events and two 19+ ticketed events. Each event transforms a public space into a vibrant event venue, complete with local and international DJs, immersive lighting, art installations, bars, and food trucks. The music spans disco, house, techno, garage, Latin rhythms, and rare grooves, giving everyone something to move to.

Headliners for 2025 include Soul ClapAsh Lauryn, and Jason Kendig, alongside a stacked roster of local talent. From family-friendly dance zones to late-night vibes with booming basslines, there’s a little something for every kind of music fan this summer.

Here’s what’s on deck:

  • Granville Island Block Party – June 7 & 8 (Free, All Ages)
    A full weekend takeover under the bridge. Saturday brings high-energy disco, house, and garage, while Sunday spotlights Salsa, Guaracha, Dembow, and Latin tech. Expect pop-up barsfood trucks, a kid’s zone, and that signature Public Disco energy from day into night.
  • City Centre Artist Lodge | Mount Pleasant – July 19 (Ticketed 19+)
    This one’s a deeper cut, produced in collaboration with SLAB and curated by Max Ulis. Featuring Soul ClapAsh LaurynDJ doodSayang, and more.
  • Pride Block Party | E 3rd & Ontario – August 2 (Ticketed 19+)
    An annual pride celebration featuring an expanded site and  two stages, the Fizz Mobile Stage and Lounge Stage. Featuring international DJ Jason Kendig alongside DJ HermanoAWoodFischer BryceAfroozLionessaRiki RocketJenny Lea, and Jesse Walker. Produced in partnership with Vancouver Pride Society.
  • Downtown All-Vinyl Block Party – September 6 (Free, All Ages)
    Public Disco returns to šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square for the first time since 2019 with a day-long end of summer celebration. Featuring local vinyl-only DJs, a record and vintage marketfood truckspop-up bars, and a kid’s zone, this free event is the perfect way to wrap summer with soul.

Nickolas Collinet, Executive Director of Public Disco Society shared his thoughts on the upcoming series:

“We are thrilled to announce Public Disco’s 2025 Summer Block Parties, which will transform Vancouver’s urban spaces into vibrant hubs of music and connection. This year’s events showcase a variety of dance music genres, including disco, house, groovy techno, garage, salsa, Latin tech and more, plus a special an all-vinyl day, and much-anticipated headliner sets from Soul Clap, Ash Lauryn, and Jason Kendig. By producing free and low-barrier ticketed events, we invite more people to engage with dance music, whether they’re deeply embedded in the scene or discovering it for the first time.”

This year also features new vibes like an expanded BC beer selection at all 2025 Block Parties through a new partnership with Phillips Brewing & Malting Co, as well as an enhanced sound experience on the Fizz Mobile Stage. With support from Creative BCthe City of VancouverGranville Island, and Downtown Van, this series is all about building culture, celebrating dance music, and transforming urban spaces in Vancouver to vibrant event spaces.
