Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark & Diana Batts (April 1-7)

The Yin Yoga Teacher Training Program offered at the Semperviva Yoga College is a unique way to deepen your overall yoga practice and touch tissues rarely worked in a more active yang style of yoga. Led by Master Teacher Bernie Clark, this training is designed for students who have been practicing Yoga for at least one year and want to deepen their understanding of the practice. BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool’s Run (April 7)

Though it’s been running (ha) for over 40 years, this the annual BMO Sunshine Coast April Fool’s Run is still one of BC’s best kept race secrets. Occurring every April, this half marathon is a great way to both keep up your race training AND take a day trip to the beautiful Sunshine Coast town of Gibsons. Gibsons is a quick ferry ride from/to the mainland, and this race offers medals for all, relays, and an early start for walkers (thank you!); kids race free. Vancouver Sun Run (April 14)

The Vancouver Sun Run is Canada’s largest 10K road race. Run through a beautiful scenic course that highlights Vancouver’s downtown core at Burrard Street and Georgia Street, the world famous Stanley Park, and Cambie Street Bridge for the final stretch across the bridge to the finish line. Bike the Blossoms (April 27)

Join the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival‘s annual Bike the Blossoms ride under the city’s mesmerizing kanzan canopy at Trout Lake. If you would like to join in on the ride, but don’t own a bike, can sign up with Vancouver bike share MOBI for a 24hr pass. This is a free event an more info can be found here.

Daffodil Dash (April 28)

April is Daffodil Month for the Canadian Cancer Society, and they once again invite you to put some spring in your step at The Daffodil Dash. The Daffodil Dash is a 1km walk or 5km run where participants and teams run/walk to fight against cancer.
