West Vancouver’s Beautiful Trestle Bridge Lights Up for the Holidays

by Amy Huang |

The temporary festive lights installed as part of a holiday experience that will remain on 10 pm nightly until the end of February.

Trestle Bridge West Vancouver

The Trestle Bridge is located on route up to Cypress Mountain Resort. The stunning bridge opened in 2021, and provides stunning views of the Burrard Inlet, and the Burrard Peninsula.

This year, the lights have been extended along the mountain path leading to the Cypress Pop-Up Village.

How to get to there

You can begin your hike at the Cypress Pop-up Village, located just before the first hairpin turn on Cypress Bowl Road. This spot offers plenty of parking and scenic views, but the walk to the trestle bridge is about 2 km uphill along a gravel path. The trail starts next to the Eagle Lake Access Road.

Alternatively, you can reach the trestle bridge from Chippendale Road, situated on the north side of Cypress Bowl Road. While parking here is extremely limited, the trail to the trestle is paved.

The Trestle Bridge spans two branches of Cave Creek through the new Uplands neighbourhood of West Vancouver.

While at the Cypress Pop-Up Village, guests can enjoy a bite at The Shed. They offer seasonally inspired cocktails, comforting snacks, and the cozy fire pits that to gather around to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There is also a covered and heated area for those looking to warm up.
