Vancouver Whitecaps To Play Against Inter Miami In Leg 2

by Amy Huang |

In spite of Inter Miami team’s star-studded team, it’ll hopefully be the Vancouver Whitecaps who will snatch the spotlight for our West Coast city.

LEG 1

A 2-0 win is nothing to scoff at, especially against such a renowned team like Inter Miami. In comparison, many were unsure if the Vancouver Whitecaps were even going to make it into the playoffs due to their rough offseason. It was lucky for us that they pulled through because that Leg 1 match was a game to remember.

It was striker Brian White and midfielder Sebastian Berhalter who scored in the 24th and 85th minute respectively, officially ensuring the Whitecaps’ win against Inter Miami. Because of this, the team now has a significant advantage when heading into the second leg with that big 2-0.

LEG 2

The Whitecaps intend to carry this energy over into their next match as they aim for their monumental first continental final. Head coach of the Whitecaps Jesper Sørensen said post-game that “it was an amazing evening, and an amazing atmosphere.” B.C. Place’s sold-out tickets can attest to that.

With that win under their belt, the Whitecaps have confidence with their next match. But, prudence always pays off, as Sørensen notes that “we’re excited, but we’re also focused on the assignment.”

For soccer fans everywhere, this match is going to be one for the books. The next leg will be on April 30beginning at 5pm. Make sure to tune in to watch the game if you don’t have tickets because you won’t want to miss our very own Vancouver Whitecaps shoot for the stars in this legendary semi-final game.
